It’s also pricier, but OpenAI claims it burns fewer tokens getting the job done — so it’s more “expensive intern who finishes early” than “cheap one who breaks Excel.”
The big pitch: fewer prompts, fewer retries, more handing tasks off and hoping the robot handles it.
So yes, GPT-5.5 is basically OpenAI saying: what if the AI didn’t just answer questions, but quietly started running the workflow too?
Kakao Mobility Wants to Build Robotaxis From the Inside Out
Kakao Mobility says it’s developing Level 4 self-driving tech in-house, which is corporate speak for: we’d like the cars to drive themselves without panicking.
The company’s big plan includes smarter AI brains, backup systems in case something breaks, and lots of simulations so the robot cars can make their mistakes digitally first. It’s also building a control center and a 3D viewer so passengers can watch what the car “sees” — because apparently anxiety now comes with graphics.
Kakao also wants to share maps, datasets, and APIs with other companies to help build Korea’s autonomous driving ecosystem. Very generous, assuming the cars don’t unionize first.
So far, its Gangnam robotaxi service has logged thousands of rides with no autonomous-driving-caused accidents — which, in self-driving terms, counts as a glowing review.
